Manuel Bremer is professor without tenure [German "außerplanmäßiger Professor"] at the University of Düsseldorf, teaching there since 2001. From 1993 to 2000 he taught philosophy at several universities and high schools.
His studies at the Universities of Cologne, Hagen and Düsseldorf included philosophy, linguistics and computer science.
His degrees include a Master of Arts, a PhD and a post-doctoral thesis [German "Habilitation"].
He also worked for some years as a software engineer and computer science teacher.
